The DGRM has just received another Quality Certificate and increases the scope of the ISO 9001: 2015

The DGRM has just received another Quality Certificate, in accordance with the requirements of the NP EN ISO 9001: 2015, issued by SGS ICS Certifier - International Certification Services. In this way, it also extends the scope of the Quality Management System, already implemented by the DGRM and which only covered the “Operational Activities of the flag State, for the Seafarers and Ships Certification, yachtsman´s licences and accreditation of yachtsman´s training entities”, to include the following activities:

  • Fisheries Control and Inspection
  • Maritime Traffic Control
  • Request, amendment, waiver request and transmission of Permits for Private Use of Maritime Space
  • Request, alteration, renewal, extinction and transmission of Aquaculture Activity Titles
  • Approval and control of the implementation of Waste Reception and Handling Plans
  • Monitoring and Inspection of maritime port Protection Works
  • Inspections of foreign ships.

With this certification, the DGRM takes advantage of a quality policy, promoting the continuous improvement, with the objective of meeting the user and others stakeholders needs, developing the economy and protecting citizens' rights and interests.
