Considering the catch data, made by the Portuguese fleet, of swordfish SWO/AS05N (south stock) (Xiphias gladius) in the Atlantic Ocean, south of 5°N, it is reported that the use of the quota for bycatch as referred in paragraph b) of no. 1 of article 3 of Ordinance No. 90/2013, of February 28, in the current wording, reached 80%, and it may be necessary to proceed with the closure of this fishery shortly.
