Digital Transition Webinar in Shipping
Yesterday, May 6, took place a Webinar on the theme Digital Transition in Shipping organized by the Escola Superior Náutica Infante D. Henrique (ENIDH) with the participation of DGRM, among other public or private sector organizations, in the panel Maritime Digital Transition with the intervention of Nelson Marques - Chief of Division of Maritime Traffic Control Systems.
In the DGRM intervention, the concepts of the digital transition themes that are underway in DGRM were addressed, namely at the level of maritime administration and fisheries, focusing on the planning for a fully digital future in DGRM. In this approach were presented the synergies and coexistence between the statutory and administrative functions and the functions of surveillance, control and inspection. Still framed in the theme of the digital transition, the EUROPEAN MARITIME SINGLE WINDOW ENVIRONMENT (EMSWe), the electronic freight transport information (eFTI) and its direct relationship with the Single Window Logistics (JUL) were addressed.
This seminar, of a technical and scientific nature, within the scope of the eShip project - financed by the EEA Grants Programme, aims to reflect on the issues inherent to digitalisation in maritime transport and port activity, involving a number of renowned personalities from the sector.
The closure of the works was made by the Director General of DGRM, Eng.º José Carlos Simão in place of the Minister of the Sea.
