Dispatch nº42/DG/2021 was published, establishing new management measures for anchovy fishing, to be applied from 00:00h on October 4th:

Directed fishing for anchovy is now authorized for each vessel on a maximum of three days a week between 00:00 hours on Mondays and 24:00 hours on Fridays.

The following situations are prohibited:

a) The capture, maintenance on board, unloading and sale of anchovy on all days of national holidays;

b) The unloading of anchovy outside the periods of operation of the auction at the unloading port;

c) The transfer of anchovy to an auction other than that corresponding to the port of unloading;

d) The same vessel unloads in more than one port during each day.

It is not allowed, on each of the fishing days, indicated before, to unload and offer anchovy for sale beyond the limits indicated below:

a) 2,250 Kg (100 hampers) for vessels with an overall length exceeding 16 meters;

b) 1,125 kg (50 hampers) for vessels with an overall length of less than or equal to 16 meters.
