According to the available data, the discharges carried out and the quantities that are on board of vessels authorized to catch swordfish (Xiphias gladius) in the Atlantic Ocean north of 5º North, as bycatch, the allocated fishing quota pursuant to paragraph 2 of article 2 of Ordinance no. 90/2013, of February 28, in its current wording, is exhausted.

In this context, pursuant to paragraph d) of paragraph 1 of article 7 of the aforementioned Ordinance, the fishing as bycatch of swordfish in the Atlantic Ocean north of the 5th North, from 00:00h of November 19, 2021, is prohibited.
