The Council of Ministers, through RCM no. of the Centre, in the amount of 4 million euros.

Included in this authorization are the ports of Nazaré, São Martinho do Porto, Peniche and Ericeira, which may see the National Dredging Plan properly applied, in order to maintain service quotas in the different ports and good maritime safety conditions.

The RCM includes a global amount of 4,052,900 euros (to which VAT will be added at the legal rate in force) and with the following annual distribution: 1,451,300 euros in 2022, 1,382,450 euros in 2023 and 1,219,150 euros in 2024 .

The multi-annual maintenance dredging contract will allow DGRM to more efficiently manage dredging operations in the access channels and inside the port infrastructure, in order to ensure navigability and maritime maneuvers in the ports in question, always with the best conditions for safety for vessels and their crews.

The dredged sediments will always be moved in conjunction with the Portuguese Environment Agency, in order to feed the adjacent beaches and combat coastal erosion.
