Due to recent incidents with merchant ships in shipping areas close to the conflict, namely in the Black Sea and the Sea of ??Azov, the DGRM strongly recommends that captains and operators of Portuguese ships that are in these areas, move out of these areas, as soon as possible, given the unpredictable consequences that may arise from their stay in these areas.

In the event that Portuguese ship captains and operators consider it essential to proceed or remain in those navigation areas, they must implement on the ship, during operation in these areas, the highest level of protection measures provided for in the respective protection plans.
