As part of the ongoing commemorations of the DGRM's 10th anniversary, the employees of this Directorate-General gathered to celebrate this anniversary, at a time when the heads of partner and neighboring entities Docapesca - Portos e Lotas, SA and For- Sea.

Resulting from the merger of the former IPTM and the former DGPA, DGRM is currently a fully consolidated Central State body whose mission is to serve the Sustainable Blue Economy, through competences assigned in the scope of Coastal State Management, Flag State and of Porto State.

Its mission is also based on strong challenges for the future, such as digitization, energy transition and emission control, good marine environmental status and sustainable use of natural resources.
