Considering the current level of landings of red seabream (Pagellus bagaraveo) by the Portuguese fleet in Union and international waters of subarea 9, the fishing quota allocated to Portugal has been exhausted.

Therefore, in compliance with Article 35(2) of Regulation (EU) No 1224/2009 of 20 November, it is prohibited to fish for, retain on board, tranship and land catches of the above species in the areas referred to as from 24:00 hours on 18 August 2022.
