DGRM and EMSA visited the World Traveler

DGRM, EMSA and DGPM, visited the latest Portuguese cruise ship, the World Traveller, built in the shipyards of Viana do Castelo under the order of Mystic Cruises. It is aimed at the luxury cruise segment and exclusive trips, such as Antarctica or the Arctic.

At 126 meters in length, it is the twin of World Navigator, World Voyager and World Explorer, the latter being the first to be built in 2018. They all meet the design, construction and operation requirements of the IMO Polar Code, are characterized by low gaseous emissions and ecosystem protection systems, essential requirements for navigation in the Fjords and in the polar zones. They are equipped with dual Rolls Royce engines of 9,000 kW each and have a hybrid propulsion system and a Dynamic Positioning and Stabilization System, among other advanced features.

The visit to the ship took place on its maiden voyage in the Port of Lisbon, where it was possible to see the details and technical aspects of the construction, whose interiors were designed by Portuguese architects. DGRM and EMSA congratulated the owner Mystic Cruises for the excellence of the construction, being another ship that will fly the Portuguese Flag.
