For the due purposes it is hereby informed that, considering the data on catches of Black scabbardfish (Aphanopus carbo) made by the Portuguese fleet in the Union and international waters of zone CECAF 34.1.2, the quota utilisation has reached 80% and it may be necessary to close this fishery in the near future.
