DGRM participated in the Seminar "Defense and Society" promoted by the Directorate-General for National Defense Resources, which took place on the 21st and 22nd of November at the IDN.

This seminar brought together National Defense and civil society entities with the aim of promoting dialogue and reflection on opportunities and challenges related to professional training in the Armed Forces, as well as possible synergies with society.

On behalf of the DGRM, Carlota Leitão Correia, Head of Division for Seafarers and Recreational Navigators, took part in the panel under the theme «Qualifications in Defense and Society: Building Synergies || Creating the future» gave a presentation on the legal framework for Seafarers' activity, the DGRM's skills and the challenges/opportunities related to training, certification and guaranteeing living and working conditions on board for those professionals.
