Advisory Board for the Protection of Maritime Transport and Ports met at DGRM

On April 20, 2023, the DGRM held a meeting of the Advisory Council for the Protection of Maritime Transport and Ports (CCPTMP).

The Council, chaired by the DGRM, is the advisory body of the Competent Authority for the Protection of Maritime Transport and Ports (ACPTMP), responsible for coordinating the various entities involved in the definition and application of standards, recommendations and security procedures for ships, port facilities and ports.

The DGRM as ACPTMP is the point of contact for the protection of maritime transport and the point of contact for the protection of ports, which at national level, coordinates, implements and supervises the application of the protection measures provided for in international and community instruments in relation to ships, port facilities and ports.

During the meeting, various matters were discussed in the field of protection (ISPS) of national ports and port infrastructures, namely matters relating to cybersecurity and sanctions against the Russian Federation in response to the invasion of Ukraine.
