Considering the current level of landings of horse mackerel (Trachurus spp.) by the Portuguese fleet in subarea 8c, the fishing quota allocated to Portugal has been exhausted.

In this context, and in compliance with paragraph 2 of Article 35 of Regulation (EU) No 1224/2009 of 20 november, it is prohibited to fish for the above-mentioned species in the aforementioned sub-area, as well as maintenance on board, tranship and land the catches made, except as regards the provisions of Article 15 of Regulation (EU) No 1380/2013 of 11 December, as from 00:00 hours on 18 may 2023.
