Considering the current level of landings of bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus) made by the Portuguese fleet in the Atlantic Ocean, east of 45ºW, and Mediterranean, it is hereby informed that the fishing quota allocated to Portugal has been exhausted.In this context and in compliance with point 2 of Article 35 of Regulation (EU) No 1224/2009 of 20 November, it is prohibited to fish for bluefin tuna in the Atlantic Ocean, east of 45ºW, and Mediterranean, from 00:00 hours on August 22, 2023.
