The event "Atlant & Med - Blue Economy Forum 2023" took place yesterday, November 2, at the DGRM Auditorium, with the aim of promoting dialogue between Catalonia and Portugal, through relevant partners for the development of a transformative blue economy, with a view to identifying synergies, sharing good practices and promoting interaction between public and private entities in the sector.

The event was chaired by the Secretary of State for the Sea, José Maria Costa, and was attended by the Mayor of Oeiras, Isaltino Morais, and the Consellor for Climate Action, Food and Rural Agenda of the Generalitat of Catalonia, David Mascort.

The DGRM took part in the event by moderating Panel II on renewable energies with the Director General of the DGRM, José Carlos Simão. DGRM's Director of Environmental and Sustainability Services, José Manuel Marques, also took part in Panel IV on environmental monitoring of the ocean.

The Catalan delegation also had the opportunity to visit the Sea Control Center and to hold B2B sessions with national entities at the Infante Dom Henrique Nautical School.
