Entry of Fishing Vessels from another Country or Activity

Fishing Vessels Owners

The request must be submitted by the owner of the fishing vessel to be replaced (counterpart), through the Form available on "Execute Service" by e-mail address to: mail.df@dgrm.mm.gov.pt.

In the case of vessels with fixed engine, the granting of a building permit is subject, for safety reasons, to the approval of the Directorate of Maritime Administration Services (DSAM) - New Constructions Division (DNC) of this Directorate General), therefore a construction project must be submitted to that Division.

  • • Vessel registration document on current activity;

    • Engine and equipment catalogues installed and/or to be installed on the vessel.

    • Valid Gross Tonnage Document (GT) - (applicable to coastal and offshore vessels);

    • Valid certificates certifying the safety of the vessel/ship (e.g. Certificate of Seaworthiness) - (applicable to vessels to be registered in inshore and offshore fishing);

    • General arrangement plan and descriptive memory of the vessel (applicable to vessels to be registered in inshore and offshore fishing).

     

    Note: In addition to the indicated documentation, additional documentation may be requested.
