Other entities, provided that the project is supervised by a Scientific Entity of recognized merit, and a document proving the supervision process must be attached, identifying the Scientific Entity and the Responsible Investigator.
The application is submitted online through the Electronic Sea Desk (BMar):
1. Open www.bmar.pt, please register and log in.
2. Press the New Request button, choose the following category "Professional Fishing" and Request type "ANI - Change of Support Vessel".
3. Fill in the required data.
4. In the free text box specify:
- What fishing gear will be used within the scope of the project;
- What species will be collected and the type of treatment planned (capture, registration and immediate release, capture and transport to laboratory, others to be specified);
- What naval resources will be involved (if applicable) – this may include a duly licensed commercial fishing vessel, a vessel owned by the applicant entity or other duly registered vessels, always requiring validation of the safety and navigability conditions for the operation, to be issued by the Port Authority(ies) of the geographical area where the experiment will take place;
- Locations where the operations will take place and the dates planned for them.
5. Attach, when applicable:
- Declaration of commitment and authorization for the use of the vessel by the shipowner/owner;
- Declaration from the scientific entity that monitors the fishing experience;
- Descriptive report of the project.
6. Check the information and submit your order.
