Liferaft Extended Period of Service

When it is justifiably impracticable to carry out the review within the prescribed period. (Up to 12 months)

It can be required by:

  • the shipowner;
  • a representative of an entity, on behalf of third parties, as long as a processing of personal data declaration in accordance with the general regulation on data protection.

Online submission:

  1. Register and authenticate yourself at www.bmar.pt;
  2. Access the new Request menu, select the Request Category "Ships and Vessels" and select request "Liferaft Extended Period of Service";
  3. Fill in the form, upload the attachments, verify the information and submit your application.

When the applicant has an employment relationship with one of the above listed companies:

  • Statement signed by the Head of the Company authorizing the employee to perform applications on behalf of the company.

 

Additionally, if acting on behalf of a third-party:

  • statement authorizing the third-party to act on their behalf.

 

Each statements shall have clearly indicated the validity period for which the person is authorized to act on its behalf. The period shall not exceed 2 years.

For GDRP (data protection) and compliance European and Portuguese Laws, only persons can access the system, therefore, only a person can have a log in at our system.
