Within the framework of the Data Protection and Privacy Policy, the DGRM is committed to the secrecy and confidentiality of the personal data for which it is responsible, in accordance with the following terms:

  1. The DGRM guarantees the confidentiality of all personal data within the scope of its responsibility for processing, undertaking to implement all the procedural, technical and organisational measures necessary for the confidentiality of personal data or information and such data being processed in a way that guarantees its security, including protection against unauthorized or unlawful processing and against accidental access, editing, disclosure, use, destruction or  damage, adopting the measures considered appropriate for this purpose.
  2. The DGRM ensures compliance with all applicable rules on confidentiality and secrecy, also requiring all its employees or suppliers to adopt behaviours and implement the necessary measures at the same level of compliance, ensuring that persons authorised to process personal data have undertaken a commitment of confidentiality or are subject to appropriate legal obligations of confidentiality.
  3. The DGRM guarantees that personal data and information of a personal nature will not be communicated to third parties without prior authorisation or a lawful ground for doing so.
  4. The DGRM has a system for managing incidents regarding personal data breach, so any breach of confidentiality or breach of confidentiality duties concerning personal data must be immediately reported to the Data Protection Officer, and the DGRM undertakes to act accordingly for the protection of data and the privacy of data title holders involved in the incident.
  5. For the exercise of any kind of right to data protection and privacy or for any matter relating to data protection, privacy and information security issues, the citizens may contact the Data Protection Officer  at epd@dgrm.mm.gov.pt, describing the subject of the request and indicating an  email address, a telephone contact address or a postal mailing address.
