The relationship between the European Union and Mozambique in the fisheries sector is the result of the Fisheries Partnership Agreement in force since January 1st, 2007, valid for periods of five years, tacitly renewable.
This Agreement is operationalized through FPA, and currently there is no Fisheries Protocol in force, as a result of the negotiations between the European Union and Mozambique.
Negotiations are expected to reopen at any time.
