The Strategic Plan for Aquaculture 2021-2030, builds on the experience and results of the Strategic Plan for the 2014-2020 programming period, the implementation of which has been facilitated by the exchange of good practices between Member States, and funding from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).

The European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFF) available for the period 2021-2027 will continue to provide support to Member States, contributing to the implementation of the strategic vision for the aquaculture sector, in line with national multiannual plans and their operational programmes.

The adoption of this Plan accompanies at Union level the approval of the Operational Programme (OP) co-financed by the EMFF for the current programming period.
